I know this vanilla server isn’t AT ALL for me, but I hope it does well. I’d play on a Wrath server in a heartbeat if this shows that meeting a niche is sustainable. (My Wintergrasp Veteran achievement is probably the most time-consuming one I’ve ever earned.)
Tbh, one of the more clever ideas I saw for Classic servers is after Classic servers are established in 1.12 for a while, then they spin up TBC servers, allow people to copy their characters over – preserving the Classic one for Classic stuff but allowing them a chance to also move forward as if TBC was a new expansion for them again, and then just keep pushing that forward as a model – thus allowing Classic servers to exist alongside TBC servers, Wrath servers, so on and so forth as people request it. They could even spin up non-transfer TBC or Wrath servers, thus allowing everyone a fresh start on those particular servers.
Besides, there’s always always money in the banana stand TBC and Wrath.
