My stomach hurts and I can barely breathe, because I haven’t laughed this hard in a very, very long time. I only learned about this prank less than fifteen minutes ago, but I’m already dead from how ridiculous it is.
Context: Paul Rudd has a history of going on Conan O’Brien’s shows (first Late Night, then Conan) and, when asked to show a clip from his newest movie, shows this snippet of a 1988 movie called Mac and Me (an ET ripoff) that people refer to as “the runaway wheelchair scene.” And Conan falls for it… every time. The exasperation through the years just kills me. Every time Conan thinks that he’s maybe caught a break, it happens again.
He thought that Paul Rudd might have laid off the joke for Ant-Man, in hopes of not pissing off Marvel.
Look at that face. Look at that expression. Look at how resigned and dead he is. This was his chance to get Paul Rudd to actually show a proper clip. Who would piss off Marvel? Who would waste a chance to promo their new movie for a prank they’d already been doing for fifteen years?
I’m pretty bummed about how Blizzard chose to portray Golka in the latest Lords of War short. And really getting tired of how all female Horde characters take a back-seat to the men, or worse, shown to be inferior.
They chose to have her deemed “weak” by her actions in the eyes of a Warsong orc like Grom. This could have been an avenue to maybe have her actually “die a warrior’s death” during their battle against the ogres, and have the loss of his mate further fuel Grom’s rage after his capture.
But instead they have her give up, an act seen to be unworthy of Grom and the Warsong orcs, by begging for death after her defeat. Her integrity as an orc is sacrificed for an easy show of Grom Hellscream being “tough as iron”. FUCK THAT
As the lady of the Warsong clan: Golka is a badass. This wolf /DOES/ HAVE TEETH!
Part of me wants to shift the entirety of Magical Fantasy Adventure Land into the normal world instead of splitting it into a separate realm.
Part of me is still annoyed that this fucker still doesn’t have a proper title. Or at least something that sounds better as a place holder.
it’s called Mafalia. that’s your world’s name. ‘MAH-FAR-lee-uh’.

it’s the acronym. “Magical Fantasy Adventure Land”-ia becomes MaFAL-ia: Mafalia.
i always find if you need a placeholder name for something, write it out and make up an acronym, adding and removing letters or vowels if need be.
for example:
“The House Where Clio Fell in Love With Him”
“The HouseWhereClioFellinLoveWithHim”
“THoWeCliFiLWH”
“ThrowecliFiLWH”
“ThrowecliffiLWH”
“ThrowecliffiLWH”
“Throwecliffe”
“Thrawecliffe”
hence ‘the house where Clio fell in love with him’ becomes ‘Thrawecliffe House’. what’s a ‘thraw’? i don’t know. is it on a cliff? maybe; that’s an author’s preogative.
suddenly the name of the house itself throws up new questions which an author in answering goes off down a rabbit hole of worldbuilding.
