“What has violence against Nazis ever accomplished?”
The end of the holocaust, for starters, ya lollipops.
Misrepresentation of the actual conversation people are trying to have is a bad look, lass.
You know, this was a literal word for word quote someone said to me in a conversation about punching Richard Spencer shortly after the election. I made this post back then out of both frustration and bewilderment that someone would actually type this. This post has far outlived the conversation that inspired it, yes, but this isnt a misrepresentation at all, just documentation.
But Richard Spencer isn’t a Nazi. He’s not even a white supremacist, per se. He’s a white nationalist.
some fucking gremlins, every time: lmao i hope he ends up being shitty!! I hope he ends up being an abuser or a pedo lmao!! I hope real life people are being abused just so I can say i told you so!! I hope he’s secretly horrible just because I don’t like seeing other people enjoy his content!!! lmao!!
nobody hopes these things, they expect them, which is a massive difference when you consider hyper-cautious and crass attitudes towards famous guys are symptoms of people used to going through bigotry and abuse, dispute or ignore horror stories if you see them, but don’t get all excited and caught up in building this narrative of the “gremlins” as if they’re these mindless angry boogeymen
it does less harm to care more about where people come from, instead of how people present
i’ve literally seen people saying they can’t wait for the mcelroy’s to end up being sex perverts so they don’t have to see them anymore. what are you even talking about
did y’all forget about this
I really wish tumblr would understand it’s okay to not like something or someone without making a huge deal about it, or needing some deep-seeded, moral reason as to why. it’s fucking exhausting dude
