I am absolutely losing my mind over this stupid ass broken ass pre-patch for Battle for Azeroth that has caused so many seemingly random yet massively game-breaking bugs.
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE
So there I am, minding my own goddamn business, questing through Stonetalon on my orc mage, when I notice the rare elite Pridewing Patriarch.
“Rare elite means shinies,” says my monkey brain, and I immediately cast my fireball and begin my assault.
And then I just die.
You see, despite Stonetalon being a level 20-60 zone, apparently Pridewing Patriarch is 110.
I’ve come to find out, he was readded back in 7.2 with level scaling from level 25 to 110 for hunters to tame after being missing since Cata.
I’ve also come to find out, his level scaling is busted as of Patch 8.0, and he is now just level 110 all the time.
Seriously, I love this patch. It’s the broken mess that gives me such stupid joy.
Did you get any scraps though? Because I went in there last night and I got like, 5 and it made me mad.
After about an hour yesterday, I got about 100 scraps, 1 shoulder scrap, and 1 helmet scrap. I only killed the mobs before the first boss in the Iron Docks (Normal) before resetting it.
I managed to snag the belt scrap this morning after giving up last night, which was the piece I was mainly looking for. I think I only had to do 3 or 4 more runs before I got it.
Droprate seems improved from the WoD days imo, but it can still take a fair bit of runs for the helm, shoulders, and belt pieces given they bosses drop those pieces more often. However, killing the trash and the first boss in Iron Docks Normal then resetting the instance is still the fastest way to do it seems.
I don’t know if this is a new 8.0 bug, but I got trapped in a loop of being kicked out the Iron Docks I was farming for Iron Horde scraps due to “You’ve entered too many instances recently” and then the game trying to force me to enter it anyway only to be kicked out only for the game to try it again. And so the loop went on and on.
I only got untrapped from this loop thanks to War Mode and some draenei stopping by to murder me then rezzing away from the portal.
With all the drama today, reminder that you can now report RP profiles in game as of 8.0! This has been implemented with blizzard, so when you see those nasty nazi fucks make sure you report them straight to Blizz themselves ✌🏻
