Me and my partner @greatmaulsoffire are going to be making a pair of shamans to play in classic, mine is a Darkspear witch doctor and trainee shaman, her name is Dahanji and she likes wooden and iron jewelry and long naps in the durotar sun.

This probably looks… Werid. But my main PC is down so I’m currently just drawing using clip studio on my ipad.

You’re Creatively Bankrupt and Don’t Know the Lore

So I made a post after seeing someone going off on how they didn’t like how someone was playing a race and class combination and how they prided themselves off of being an ‘RP Elitist’ (which is still a fucking joke). First off, sorry for the long-winded nerd rage but the whole ordeal left a bad taste in my mouth and I’ll never understand why people make such a huge fucking deal about that shit.

It started off by them making a broadcast of wanting to kill a flagged worgen player who played an archdruid, which went on a long tirade about how “people just shit on the lore”. The irony about this was that this person was saying that Kul Tirans druids weren’t real druids and that he’d refuse to see or recognize them as such. I pointed it out to him that this is exactly what happened with tauren and the sunwalkers. People said that they didn’t make sense even when Blizzard added them to the lore, but over time things felt more accepted.

“Does it sound good to you that tauren paladins, a class combo that didn’t exist at first, is added to the game and justified with new lore?”
“Yes.”
“Cool, not replace that with Kul Tiran Druid.”
“lol no.“

If you pride yourself off of being a “lore-abiding RPer” yet refuse to acknowledge the new lore added, that is essentially lore breaking and accusing others of it is hypocritical and shitty. There was also backpeddling on the whole exclusivity of the Archdruid title and how only certain races should be allowed to be druids at all. Fun fact: A SATYR was an archdruid and led the Emerald Circle. I’m pretty sure if a demon can infiltrate the Cenarion Circle and lead one of its sects in secret, the list of who can and can’t be a druid is really small.

I brought up how Nightborne could possibly be druids. Look at High Botanist Tel’arn from Nighthold and look at his solar and nature spells. You know who else is a High Botanist? Freywinn from Botanica. Know what he can do? Use tree form and tranquility. Druid spells.  But no, no, they aren’t druids apparently.

The lore changes. If you can’t adapt to it but want to shit on people who do, move on to another game. You can make up so many class combos that don’t exist and make them work. A good friend of mine plays a tauren mage. I have an undead druid that focuses on decaying life, and an orc I’ve styled as a paladin. People will go on and on that “playing in the sandbox given to you is a better form of writing”.

Screw that. Let people be creative and try out new things. Unless Blizzard says that something is outright impossible, then whatever, but until then, I’m going to play whatever the hell I want. Call yourself a better roleplayer or part of the “elite”. People who are judgemental pricks like my shit at the very least.

good post OP

This is a statement that is, and will always be, a fucking joke. People who claim to be “RP Elitists” are, just that: a fucking joke.

If you throw a fit because someone is roleplaying something “wrong”, or playing something “taboo” in a game where everyone is already playing pretend, then you are, without a doubt, a fucking joke who needs to go outside and learn some social skills. I’ve found that people who throw fits about people playing dragons, or people playing archdruids, or playing class/race combinations that aren’t in the game to be short on friends. Perhaps if you took the time to realize that priding yourself on being a judgemental asshole is a bad thing, maybe you’d be able to change that.

Until then, every single one of you who gets your panties in a twist because someone RPs something you don’t like need to work on getting that nine-foot pole out of your ass because clearly it’s lodging itself in that small part of your brain that keeps you from acting like a fucking child.

Shit, how can you cry “LOREBREAKING” when Blizzard’s writing is inconsistent all the god damn time? Is there so little in your life that your biggest point of pride is telling people off that you’re better at playing pretend? Because that’s basically what you do when you police lore.

“Well if they have right to RP whatever they want, I have the right to shame them-”

What are you, a bitch? Because when you talk like that, you sound like a bitch. Not the fun kind of bitch either. No one likes a whinny bitch, so please, save yourself the embarrassment, and spare us your driveling like that. There’s a whole fucking litany of shit I would love to say to people like you that would go against the terms of submission here, but just to keep this brief:

Get fucked, you sad, lonely assholes.
