people cheering on the tear-gassing of innocent asylum seekers are also
putting up their manger scenes on their front lawns this week

… Um… did you actually watch the scenes that their tear gassing? They are in *no* way “innocent” or “asylum seekers”…

What crime did they commit? Keep in mind, however:

• One of the requirements to get asylum in the USA is to be in USA soil. You are allowed to get through the border if you’re doing so to ask for asylum. Therefore, “They want to illegally enter the USA!” is not a valid answer, because they’re trying to LEGALLY enter the USA.
• “They reacted against the tear gas!” is not a valid answer either. What would the average person do, if they were tear-gassed for no valid reason? Try to react.
• In the absence of a valid (non-false, non-bullshit) answer, I’m gonna assume that the terrible crime you’re charging those immigrants with is “Being an immigrant seeking for help”.

Not to mention I’m pretty sure us using chemical weapons on Mexican territory is a war crime
