It’s hilarious blizzard re-introduced Calia after so many years of people wondering where she was only to have her go “meh I don’t really want to become queen let it be dead.” THEN THE NEXT EXPANSION HAVE THE ALLIANCE INVADE LORDAERON. 

Like, it would have been the perfect chance for Alliance ‘aggression’ for once. The Alliance and possibly greymane convincing support Calia for her to reclaim the throne of Lordaeron both as a way to claim alliance territory, but also to restore Lordaeron and rebuild the kingdom. The Alliance could even send envoys going “hey surrender Lordaeron to the rightful ruler and leave and we won’t harm you.” Only for Sylvanas to say that the dead people of Lordaeron have a right to it since they are its people (even if she’s being a shit and doing it so she could keep land).

THEN the Alliance invades Lordaeron, they’re not seen as warmongering asshole and you have an understandable reason on both sides in some regards. But you could also make the Horde evil again.
