Thomas de Mahy, Marquis de Favras (
March 26, 1744 – February 19, 1790)
A French aristocrat who was arrested and executed during the French Revolution for supporting the House of Bourbon. Upon reading his death sentence he commented, "I see that you have made three spelling mistakes".
